Olympic medal, that is... You know, cuz that's likely. So, typically I feel like a lot of Olympic paraphernalia is, well, let's face it, lammmmeeee. And I gotta tell you, a lot of it still is. But between the mascots, who's stuffed animals likenesses I kinda want (ok, fine, I really want them!) and the cool backstory to the medals, Van City might be slowly winning me over. Apparently each of the medals was made out of re-used circuit boards, and the ripple shape of each medal is meant to represent the landscape of the city. Neat, right? So what do you think? Cool? c'mon, economy!

Wouldn't it be great if the economy would magically rebound, while at the same time leaving us with a little pocket of time (I don't need much, really. Maybe a month or two?) before all the prices skyrocket accordingly? I'm thinking that would be the perfect time for me to scoop up just about every bracelet that Kate Spade's got out right now. Honestly. Look at these lovelies! Though, to be honest, it's not that the prices are exhorbitant or anything, I just want. them. all.

Things I never thought I would have: leggings (what is happening to me? Leggings. I bought frickin' leggings. I'm so ashamed), fake Walmart nails (but they RULE!), and diamonds (um, yeah. I can't even really explain that one... I blame the hubs??). But hey, I say if you like it, roll with it and make it your own. Side note: so this is how my ring (non) set turned out. I think it's a pretty happy balance between traditional and rock 'n roll... very me, which pretty much makes my day, every day! Whatcha think? Did you have to find a happy compromise for yourself? Still trying to make that compromise?

K, I know a LOT of people are going to want to kick my butt for saying this, but I'm kind of looking forward to cooler weather... if only we had more of a fall here. Honestly, usually it lasts MAYBE 3 weeks until there's snow on the ground... oh, well! Here's my "if I had money to blow" wishlist for fall... Though I'm thinking that one way or another, the boots, jeans, gloves and socks are all going to be showing up at my house in the near future (not THOSE ones... I wish! But reasonable fascimiles!)

blind... but hip!

Common knowledge: I'm blind as a bat. Not like, need 'em to read, more like can't tell there's a ring on my hand until it's six inches away. Like, have to shave my legs by feel. Um, yeah, pretty frickin' blind. Which, I mean, what can ya do? And glasses now are so cute it's no real hardship. BUT they're crazy expensive and buying prescription sunglasses has always seemed like such an unnecessary luxury. Still, the snow glare's killing me when I drive with other people so I picked up a pretty nifty pair of cheapos from Wally's World. See?Ah fate, gotta love it.
