You know what's super-duper great? Folks who look like they are genuinely THRILLED to be marrying each other. I am SO over the whole, "We are so cool. Smiling's overrated. These are wedding PORTRAITS. They are ARTISTIC. And so we pout." thing (that's actually the technical term. Look it up.) And no, I don't necessarily buy into the whole "your wedding is/should be the best day of your life" hooey either, but at the very least, when in the presence of the one you love, and the day that you are commiting yourself to them, do me and yourselves a favor: smile, laugh, enjoy yourselves. Take a sec to peek over at them even though EVERYONE is looking and realize how lucky/happy/in love you are with them. And screw being cool: let it show. K? Thanks! Wouldn't it be great if the economy would magically rebound, while at the same time leaving us with a little pocket of time (I don't need much, really.
