wishlist addition #1...

For whatever reason, it's been quite a while since me and the hubs have exchanged gifts for Xmas, through mutual consensus. And though this year may be no different, since I've got a perfectly good forum (y'know, right here!) to post my wishlist, I thought I might have fun coming up with one this year! (To be honest, I have NEVER given him a wishlist... it always just seemed so... presumptive. Is presumptive a word?? You get the gist, right?) First up: this awesome book which is described as "Boxed and Labelled is a comprehensive overview of the most intelligent, innovative, playful and attractive examples of current packaging design. The broad spectrum of packaging is illustrated through an extensive selection of products characterised by cutting-edge graphic design, sassy illustrations, striking typography, careful use of colour as well as unique materials." I could read this thing for HOURS! I'm thinking it might be a little present from me to me! Now I just need to make sure I can find it in Canada! Image found here.

the end is NEVAH in sight

Just found this over at iDiY and I have a bad feeling that dozens of little drink tags are in my future! Whoops! I really need to stay off the interwebs (too. much. info. *brain explodes*) and start ACTUALLY working on my last projects seeing as how W-day is only EIGHT DAYS AWAY! GAHHAHAHAHA! (in my defense I haven't been able to find even CLEAR straws, so this might be a cute way to dress up what I CAN find. Story of my life. And YES, I get it, I'm that bride that's co-ordinating her straws. Wanna fight about it?!?!)

UPDATE* Didn't make quite these (I just couldn't figure out a size that could include text but wasn't too large in proportion to the straws) so instead I made cute little flags from the same co-ordinating stack that I made the invitations, drink tags, table trivia cards, and colouring books from! Seriously! Best $10 I ever spent was on that stack of cardstock! I'll post pics just as soon as I can find my BLOODY CAMERA! Gah!
